Police berates APC protest at Force Headquarters, calls it uncivilized

The Nigeria Police Force has berated the All Progressives Congress, APC, calling the party’s protest at the Force Headquarters yesterday as uncivilized and undue disruption of government activities.

It would be recalled that APC, after its “Salvation Rally” at the Eagles Square yesterday, marched to the Force Headquarters, barricading the entrance and causing heavy traffic. The party said it was protesting the withdrawal of the security aides of Speaker Aminu Tambuwal. The protest was led by APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and Rivers State governor, Rotimi Ameachi.

In a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the Police advised politicians to take their campaigns to the electorate, rather than engage in disruption of government activities and daily chores of Nigerians who engaged in the pursuit of their lawful businesses.
